Regulations made by the Governor in Council under section 4 of the Nurses Regis- tration Ordinance, 1929, Ordinance No. of 1929, on the

1. The Board shall consist of seven members, viz.-

Members shall be appointed for a period of three years. Should any member of the Board die or leave the Colony during his period of appoint- ment his place shall be filled for the remainder of his term of office by a member appointed by the same authority as appointed the deceased or absent member. The Director of Medical and Sanitary Services shall be the Chairman of the Board.

2. In these regulations,—

"The Ordinance" means the Nurses Registration Ordinance, 1929. "The Board" means the Nursing Board as constituted under sec-

tion 1 of these regulations.

"The Register" means the Register of Nurses formed and kept by

the Board under section 3 of the Ordinance.

Registered Nurse' means a male or female nurse who is for the

time being registered in the Register.

The feminine shall include the masculine.

3. The forms set out in the Schedules to these regulations and all instruc- Forms. tions contained therein shall be deemed to be part of these regulations, and such forms, or forms substantially to the like effect, shall be used in all cases for which the forms are provided.

PART II.

FORMATION, MAINTENANCE AND PUBLICATION OF THE REGISTER.

4.—(1) The Register shall consist of the following parts:-

(a) A general part containing the names of all female nurses who satisfy the conditions of admission to that part of the Register:

(b) A supplementary part containing the names of male nurses: (c) A supplementary part containing the names of nurses trained in the nursing and care of persons suffering from mental diseases:

(d) A supplementary part containing the names of nurses trained

in the nursing of sick children:

(e) A supplementary part containing the names of nurses trained

in the nursing of persons suffering from infectious diseases.

Schedule.

(2) The Register shall contain the particulars set forth in the First First Schedule to these regulations.

(3) Each person admitted to the Register shall be assigned a consecu- tive number in the part or parts of the Register in which her name is included.
